Classic Ford Taunus deLuxe.
The Ford Taunus G93A was a car of the lower middle class, which the Ford Works Cologne produced from 1939 to 1942 as a successor to the model Eifel. 1948, the model was reissued as Ford Taunus G73A and manufactured until 1952. The shape of his body with humpback tail, which distinguishes him from all other Taunus models, earned him the nickname "Buckeltaunus" still used today.
In May 1950 Ford introduced the Taunus Special, which featured a four-speed gear change controlled with a column-mounted lever. Externally the “Special” made extensive use of chrome, notably on an enlarged front grill and on the bumpers. The rear window was enlarged and flashing-light direction indicators replaced semaphore-style flippers.
In 1951 the "de luxe" version of the Buckeltaunus was introduced. Visually, this new variant was distinguished by a new one-piece windscreen, and by indicators integrated in the radiator grille. A new hood ornament and taillights, the...
