Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

The Spirit of Dana Point is a traditionally built, accurate replica of a 1770’s privateer used during the American Revolution. The ship is 118 feet long with a rig height of 100 feet and 5,000 square feet of sail.
It was Dennis Holland’s life dream to build an accurate replica from the period when America fought for independence. Armed with talent, determination, little money and plans he purchased from the Smithsonian Institution, he laid the keel in his yard on May 2, 1970. Thirteen years later this fast privateer was launched and continues to sail the ocean.
The Ocean Institute’s second tall ship, the regal schooner Spirit of Dana Point, allows students, educators and the general public the opportunity to cast off from the dock for exciting sailing adventures that last anywhere from a few hours to five days. As well as school programs, she offers public “Patriots, Pirates and Privateer” sails on weekends and is available for private events and cruises.
