Sunset at the Winterly River.

I took this picture in Hessen, Germany, at the European Reserve Kuehkopf-Knoblochsaue, an island which was separated from the mainstream of the river Rhine in 1828. In 1959 UNESCO designated the island a nature reserve. The Kuehkopf is a flora and fauna protectorate as decreed by the European Union. The area with meadows and woodlands is only approachable by pedestrians and cyclists. Many pathways allow you to enjoy the fauna and the natural surroundings.
