Description
A Sunny Day At The Castle.
A popular excursion destination located at the Teutoburg Forest is Sparrenberg Castle in Bielefeld, Germany. In the forties of the 13th century the construction of the Sparrenburg was probably started. The first documentary mention dates back to 1256, while the fortifications still visible today were not built until the middle of the 16th century. After extensive restoration work, the castle now presents itself in an impressive form. The exemplarily restored complex offers the visitor a magnificent panorama of the city and the surrounding countryside, and at certain visiting times you can take a tour through the catacombs or climb the tower. On sunny days you might also like to sit up on the hill, the Sparrenberg, very relaxed - and the holiday tan will soon appear. Better not to forget to apply a sun protection cream!
