Description
Temecula Valley - Southern California Wine Country.
Rural in nature, sustainable in farming practices and including an agricultural preserve known as the Citrus/Vineyard zone, the Temecula Valley is widely recognized as the 'jewel' of Riverside County. No matter which varietal of wine you're looking for, you can probably find it here. Temecula is steadily gaining popularity as the go-to Southern California wine country, and for good reason: with cool, condensation-heavy mornings and hot, dry days, the climate in Temecula is perfect for growing grapes. All thanks to the Rainbow Gap which allows cool breezes to blow in from the ocean, which get trapped in the valley by the coastal mountain range, creating the unique microclimate. Known for diversity, wineries in the Temecula Valley grow and produce over 50 different varietals of wine; from Cabernet Sauvignon to Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot to Mourvedre, Viognier to Chardonnay, to wines hand crafted in the classic Old World traditions of France, Spain and Italy.
